Welcome

Wow, this is my first of many blog entries

I would like to welcome you and hope that you enjoy what you see and read. I am a first year art teacher for fourth and fifth graders. My school also has and After School Program, in my group I work with second and third graders I love my job and feel like I have won the lottery. I’m hoping to share my excitement for my job with other teachers, community members and other creative people. 

• As I complete lessons I will add post to display ideas that have worked and ones that didn't. Its only fair to show that not everything is a home-run.
• I plan to write post about artist that I admire and artist that I have used in my class.
• I will be looking for online games that I can link to that are art related

Just a little more about me:

 I admire many artist but when asked who's work to I love.

I would have to say Wassily  Kandinsky hands down.

If you know about his style it may help you understand me. I express my self best with art. I feel that you can paint/ draw an emotion. That once an emotion is put down others may see it and relate or understand.  I hope to teach this to my students. Art is often beautiful but it can mean much more than just looking nice.
